The Retiree Employment Agency was established at the beginning of 2021 to respond to the growing demand for human resources in our region.

The Agency facilitates the liaison between retirees over 50 who wish to return to the workforce and employers who have a need for temporary workers. This bilingual service is offered in Northwestern New Brunswick.

Emploi Habilité + is a specialized employability support service for individuals facing significant barriers to employment. The agency is a member of the AvenueNB cooperative and is managed by the Edmundston Regional Chamber of Commerce. It also shares office space with the Grand Falls Valley Chamber of Commerce one day a week.

Emploi Habilité + aims to facilitate its clients’ integration into the labor market by identifying barriers to employment and training needs, and by coordinating the necessary interventions to reduce or eliminate these obstacles. The agency also strives to help clients become independent and self-sufficient. The clientele served is diverse, ranging from individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues to those facing physical, intellectual, visual, hearing, or other disabilities. The territory served by Emploi Habilité + includes Madawaska County and the greater Grand Falls region.
