The Retiree Employment Agency was established at the beginning of 2021 to respond to the growing demand for human resources in our region.

The Agency facilitates the liaison between retirees over 50 who wish to return to the workforce and employers who have a need for temporary workers. This bilingual service is offered in Northwestern New Brunswick.

EMPLOIHABILITÉ Plus is a specialized employment assistance service for clients with strong barriers to employment. The territory served includes Madawaska County and part of Victoria County. For more than 15 years, EMPLOIHABILITÉ Plus is a service managed by the Edmundston Region Chamber of Commerce.

The service aims to facilitate the integration of clients into the labor market by identifying employment barriers, training needs and coordinating the required interventions that will reduce or eliminate the obstacles. It also aims to make the customer responsible and self-sufficient. The clientele served by EMPLOIHABILITÉ Plus are people with; learning disabilities, mental health problems, physical, intellectual, visual or auditory disability. In short, a large and varied clientele.
